THE Sister Wives The star shared a glimpse into her relationship with her ex-father Kody Brown after sharing an inspirational quote on social media about deciding what’s “worth your energy.”
When a follower responded to Madison, 29, saying they were “lacking that skill,” she shared a screenshot of his DM response on her Instagram Stories on Oct. 10, which read, “Your dad telling lies about you for the whole world to hear learns that to you REALLY FAST.”
In a subsequent post on IG Stories, the reality star responded to an anonymous question wondering if she had sought “professional therapy” to overcome her complex relationship with her father.
“Yes. I see a professional therapist from time to time,” she wrote. “I benefited a lot from it. I think anyone [who] comes from a complex family dynamic and could benefit from it.
Madison, who shares children Axel8, Evie6, Josephine2, and Emilie6 months, with husband Caleb Brush— recently detailed her year-long estrangement from Kody, 56, on the TLC series, getting emotional as she reflected on the distance between them.
