Simone Biles explains the 3 plastic surgeries she had

Simone Biles is opening up about her decision late last month to go public with her three plastic surgeries – two of which “you would never notice.”

The 28-year-old Olympic gold medalist told People that she revealed her procedures — a breast augmentation and eyelid surgery known as a lower blepharoplasty, and one to repair her earlobe following an incident when she was young — in an effort “to be open, honest and accessible.”

“Seeing myself win medals at the Olympics, it’s not comparable,” said the record-breaking gymnast. “But what’s relevant is how we feel about ourselves, what we talk about, what we’re going through, and how we share openly and honestly.”

Biles clarified that going under the knife for her breasts wasn’t because “I didn’t like the way I looked or the way I felt,” but rather “it’s just something that I obviously notice a little more because I live in this body.”

The blepharoplasty, on the other hand, was intended to treat what she dubbed “Biles’ “bags under the eyes.”

“We always had them, hereditary, and so it was just a big flaw,” she continued.

Her decision to have her earlobe “fixed” stems from a childhood incident in which an earring “got ripped off.”

On October 29, Biles shared a TikTok detailing fun facts about herself, including: “I’ve had three plastic surgeries, and two of them you’ll never be able to tell…Guess,” which followers quickly did.

“I also think it shows young girls that they have the right to make their own choices…and that’s nothing to be ashamed of,” Biles told People.

Her frankness about such decisions dates back at least to the summer of 2024, when she confirmed to her followers that she had received Botox for her 27th birthday, which “didn’t go well” and resulted in “a floating eyebrow.”

“Social media isn’t real, that’s why I try to be as transparent as possible,” Biles said.
