Simone Biles apologizes to Riley Gaines, pleads for “competitive equity and inclusiveness” in female sports

In a position on Tuesday, Biles apologized for not having shown “empathy and respect” in a tweet where she tore sheaths for the position of the old swimmer on transgender athletes.
In her post, Biles said that she thought that “competitive equity and inclusiveness” are essential in sport. She said that she did not want to defend policies that “compromise equity in female sports”. Biles added that she challenged sheaths choosing a child in her post.

Biles ended his post saying:
“Individual athletes – in particular children – should never be at the center of the criticism of an erroneous system on which they have no control. I believe that sports organizations are responsible for finding rules supporting inclusion while maintaining fair competition. We all want a future for sport that is fair, inclusive and respectful.”
On Friday, Biles and Gaines engaged in a verbal back and forth after Gaines attacked the interscoad director of the Lycée du Minnesota for having enabled a transgender girl to compete in the state of the girl’s state tournament. Champlin Park, with The Transgender Girl on the Mound, won the 4A 6-0 state championship. Biles responded to this tweet, calling sheaths a “painful loser” and a “intimidator”.
GAINS – A former swimmer from the University of Kentucky – became a public figure in 2022, when she opposed the inclusion of transgender women participating in female sports after having finished fifth with the Swimmer Transgender Lia Thomas during a competition.

Gaines continued to put pressure on this cause, and appeared in a video on the website of the United States Health and Social Services in February, which argued against transgender women to participate in female sports.
Gaines responded to the bile position on Friday, the caller “disappointing”. During the weekend, Gaines tweeted or shared at least 15 tweets mentioning biles.
Shortly after the bile position, Gaines responded to the bile position.
“I accept Simone’s apology for personal attacks, including those where it ashamed. I know she knows what it looks like. She is always the biggest female gymnast of all time.
“Two things. Sports are inclusive by nature. Everyone can and everyone should play sports. Competition, on the other hand and by definition, is exclusive. The idea of” equity “is therefore absurd.
“Secondly, boys publicly humiliate girls. To suggest that women and girls must be silent or ignore a boy who hurts them publicly or humiliated them is false. You cannot have empathy and compassion for girls if you ignore when young men hurt them or abuse them. I am not ash to be a voice.
“Finally, I agree with you that the blame is on the legislators and the leaders at the top. Precisely why I continue the NCAA and I support the candidates who proceed to stay with women. This is why I joined @realdonaldtrump at the signing of his decree.
“Female sports cannot be used as an excuse for girls to center the feelings and validation of men and boys.
“I welcome you in the fight to support fair sports and a future for female athletes. Little girls deserve the same time to realize that you had.”
