Nawaz’s MS Dhoni like reflexes stuns Kim Garth
Sidra Nawaz has had a good tournament behind the stumps so far. She did her job exceedingly well against India and now continued that form into the PAK-W vs AUS-W clash in Colombo. Australia were in all sorts of trouble after being reduced to 76/7.
In partnership with Beth Mooney, Kim Garth started Australia’s rebuild. The all-rounder held her end allowing Mooney to continue adding valuable runs. Just when Australia seemed to have gained control, Nawaz combined with Diana Baig to turn the script.
Baig bowled a fullish delivery down the legside with Garth outside her crease. Nawaz was quick to collect and take the bails off to have her stumped. It was impressive glovework, considering Baig bowled it at 107 kph. Furthermore, Nawaz would have been blindsided by Garth facing the delivery.
