Shubman Gill breaks silence on the availability of Jasprit Bumrah for the 4th test, blame Kl Rahul & Co. for Lord’s defeat
The India National Cricket team, Captain Shubman Gill, opened its doors to the rhythm of Jasprit Bumrah’s spearhead for the Manchester test of the Anderson-Tendulkar 2025 trophy.
Team India faced a heartbreaking 22 point defeat in the third test match against Team England to drop 1-2 in the five-game series. The next match of the series will start on July 23 in Old Trafford, Manchester.

India loses a thriller at Lord’s
India was invited to play the first in the match after losing the draw and the attack led by Jasprit Bumrah did a decent job in the first sleeves.
Visitors wrapped the three Lions for 387 in 112.3 Overs, ensuring that they buried the approach of Bazball from England to Lord’s. Jasprit Bumrah, as usual, was the most efficient in India with its five -countered transport while Mohammed Siraj (2/85), Nitish Kumar Reddy (2/62) and Ravira will Jadeja (1/29) also picked up counters.
With the bat, India equaled the scoring of England from 387 in 119.2 Overs – the ninth instance of this type in the history of the test. Kl Rahul played a wonderful 100 points and was the only Centurion in sleeves. Rishabh Pant (74) and Ravira will Jadeja (72) also hit India brilliantly to help them match the score of the first sleeves of England.
In the third rounds, the Indian bowling unit delivered an incredible performance and limited the hosts to 192 on the fourth day to give the strikers a great chance for the victory of the Lord’s test.
Washington Sundar (4/22), Jasprit Bumrah (2/38), Mohammed Siraj (2/31), Nitish Kumar Reddy (1/20) and Akash Deep (1/30) did a good job with the ball.
In the last rounds, Indian strikers offered a horrible performance, and despite a big fight by Ravira Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah, India was overthrown for 170.
Extremely proud – Shubman Gill on India’s efforts
Addressing Michael Atherton during the post-match presentation ceremony, the skipper of India, Shubman Gill, said that he was proud of his team’s efforts and that he was confident of them chasing the target. Shubman Gill said:
“Extremely proud. Five days of harshly disputed cricket and this comes down to the last session, at the last counter and extremely proud of the effort.
“I was quite confident (about the prosecution). With many strikers, I was quite confident, but the way in which England continued to attack, we perhaps wanted to have some 50-point partnerships in our higher order, we could not do it and they played better than we do not have hope and a partner of battles, there is always hope.

Shubman Gill also made a rich praise on Ravindra Jadeja for his exceptional 61 * in the last sleeves. He said:
“He (Jadeja) is very experienced and did not want to give him a message. I think he was fighting very well with the tail and that I just wanted him and the tail terrains to be as long as possible. Position.”
Shubman Gill also blamed the strikers of their poor performance in the last rounds for defeat. Asked about the availability of Jasprit Bumrah for the Manchester test, Shubman Gill said they would make an announcement on this subject very soon.
“I think that the last hour (yesterday), we could have applied ourselves a little better, in particular the last 2 counters that fell. And even this morning, the way they released the plans, we hoped for a partnership of 50 points and if we had obtained a 50 -point partnership in the first order, then things would have been easier for us. Sometimes the scorecard series does not really reflect.
“I think we played a very good cricket and I think it will be an even exciting series from here.
