Showers, damaging the risk of wind with summer heat, humidity on Friday in DMV

Washington (7news) – Friday, the time similar in summer could bring heavy rains and violent storms capable of producing damaging winds, hail and sudden floods. It will also be hot and very humid for this time of year.
The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma, improved the area to the level 2 of 5 (light) risk category for the probability of serious storms.
Friday brings a somewhat complicated and uncertain forecast for the most part of the DMV. The showers and storms are possible at a given time, however, the trends in forecasts have deferred in cover and intensity. The meteorological ingredients will be in place to damage the gusts of wind which could bring down more trees and heavy rain which could cause additional floods. There is also a chance for the small hail to develop in stronger cells and an isolated and weak tornado is not out of the question.

What is certain is the heat and humidity that will be based throughout the day. Friday will probably be the first day of the year with temperatures resembling sensations in the 90s! You will want to stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade if you are physically active.

Fortunately, while a cold front slides through, our winds will move and it will become windy with a drop in humidity until Saturday afternoon and in the evening. This is good news for the Preakness race on Saturday.
