Shout bursting on the floor of the house during the moment of silence for Charlie Kirk

A cries match broke out on the house’s floor on Wednesday during a moment of silence for conservative activist Charlie Kirk after his assassination.

The cries occurred when the representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO) interrupted the moment of silence to demand the prayer spoken on the floor of the house.

“Please get up for a prayer moment for Charlie Kirk and his family,” said Chamber Mike Johnson.

The legislators recognized the moment for several seconds, then immediately returned to regular order when Lauren Boebert said: “Silent prayers obtain silent results.”

When Boebert asked if prayers could be heard “aloud”, it prompted a few cries of “no” of the Democrats, to which she shouted. Per Fox News:

Meanwhile, representative Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., Stopped himself and began to shout. “You have all caused it,” she said.

President Johnson tried to repress the crowd several times, banging the hammer and asking for order. Finally, he said: “We will join the prayer just after that, ok?”

Wednesday, Charlie Kirk was shot down during a USA Turning Point event at the University of Utah Valley. He is survived by his wife and two children. President Trump honored him by learning his death.

“The big, and even legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” wrote Trump. “No one understood or had the hearts of young people in America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by all, especially me, and now he is no longer with us. Melania and my sympathies go to her beautiful wife Erika, and to her family. Charlie, we love you! “

Democratic leaders managed to condemn Charlie Kirk’s assassination as an insane political violence.

“Let me be clear: even if you do not agree with someone’s beliefs, even if you oppose everything they represent, the path of disagreement should never lead to what happened today at the University of Utah Valley,” said the president of the National Democratic Committee (DNC), Ken Martin.

“Political violence – in all its forms – is unacceptable in America. However, as I said when my dear friends Melissa and Mark Hortman were murdered earlier this summer, such violence has become commonplace. Each political, democratic and republican leader, must loudly condemn this violence. We have to work hard to collect this country, not divide it, “he added.
