Shane Gillis splits from girlfriend Grace Bassel (exclusive source)

Shane Gillis and his girlfriend, influencer Grace Brassel, are no longer together.

“Shane and Grace broke up several months ago,” sources with knowledge of the situation tell PEOPLE. The 37-year-old comedian and Brassel, 26, started dating in July 2024.

Confirmation of their split comes amid some online speculation following a TikTok Brassel posted on Thursday, November 6 featuring the song “Madeline,” by Lily Allen. West End Girl album. The song is about worrying if a partner is seeing another woman, and Brassel’s use of audio has caught people’s attention online.

One person commented, “If THIS man did something to YOU, I’m going to freak out,” to which Brassel replied, “😁.” Another person commented, “OMG I missed you,” and Brassel said, “Missed me too 😥.” »

PEOPLE has reached out to Gillis’ representatives for comment.

Gillis and Brassel were last seen together in July at the ESPYS, where the two posed on the carpet together. Gillis also hosted the annual sports awards ceremony.

Brassel posted a carousel of photos from the evening on her Instagram, including several photos of her and the comedian smiling and posing together.

Gillis was first linked to Brassel when they were photographed together at Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo’s wedding.

The influencer posted photos from the event, including photos of her and Gillis posing as a couple, on Instagram. The post also included a photo of her, Gillis and Post Malone.

She confirmed they were dating in a July 2024 TikTok video. “When women literally walk up to your boyfriend and say ‘I’ll kiss you right now’ in front of your face,” she wrote.

In the caption, she added: “I’m literally dating a hot girl.”

While Brassel has often posted about the comedian, she has not appeared on his social media. He previously said he tries to keep his private life out of the public eye while commenting on a previous two-year relationship during a March 2023 appearance on the What does your crazy look like? podcast.
