Severe thunderstorm warning issued for part of the south-east of Wisconsin

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for the counties of Kenosha, Milwaukee and Racine until 2:45 pm, a warning for Waukesha County expires at 2:30 pm the winds are the main threat to 60 mph. There is also a risk of swimming today with waves from Lake Michigan from 3 to 5 feet. Several beaches are closed today, including Bradford and McKinley Beachs. An air quality notice is in force until noon on Wednesday. It is for all south-eastern Wisconsin. Smoke is still in the air at the moment, but is pushed to the surface from the cold front in the Northwoods. This will happen tonight, said Weatherwatch 12 Meteorologist Lindsey Slater.
