Severe storms leave the damage in the middle of Michigan

Lansing, Michigan (Wilx) – A line of serious storms late Thursday evening and early Friday morning left significant damage in the middle of Michigan. Many trees and power lines are down in the region, causing road closings and power outages.
Since early Friday morning, more than 200,000 customers of energy consumers have been without electricity with more than 20,000 Lansing Board of Water and Light customers. DTE Energy has not reported almost outings on the eastern side of the state.
The power lines and the trees overturned in the region left many roads closed on Friday morning, including the following:
- I-496 at Lansing de Pine St to MLK Blvd. The eastern traffic and west is closed due to the power lines lowered in the region.
- WB M-43 (Grand River Ave) is closed in Fairview Ave due to slaughtered power lines.
- Canal RD is closed in both directions between Rickie St and Davis Hwy in the County of Eaton due to numerous shot down lines.
- There are many other closures in Mid-Michigan, you can receive the latest updates on traffic on the main roads at any time with our first alert traffic card.
One of the harder successful areas seems to be the county of Eaton. Friday, the crews of the National Weather Service will take place in the damage in the middle of Michigan to determine if a tornado has resulted at any time.
