Seth Rogen teases the episode of season 2 of “The Studio” which can be rebuilt

Seth Rogen and his team are currently in the writing phase for season 2 of their successful series “The Studio” and, according to the actor, an episode is designed which might be completely rebuilt. It all depends if the Apple TV + series can get the guest star that they hope.

Appearing on the last episode of the Podcast “Happy Sad Confused” by Josh Horowitz, recorded during a recent live event in Los Angeles, Rogen conceded that there was certainly pressure to meet the bar which took place in the first season, in terms of guest stars. The famous faces that spanned for an episode or two have become a basic food in the series, marking it a total of six nominations at Emmy only for the guest actors alone.

“I mean that I am currently working on an episode where, if a person says no, we have to throw the whole idea of the episode, and start zero and write an entirely new episode,” Rogen revealed. “Which is not the smartest way to do a television show, if I’m very honest. But this is the only thing we know how to do at this stage.”

Rogen did not name a name on this potential star, although the host Josh Horowitz joked by saying that an actor like Vin Diesel could be so inaccessible.

Why couldn’t “the studio” not get another celebrity to fill the song, you may be wondering? Well, according to Rogen, he and his collaborator Evan Goldberg are very special about their approach to the stars of the guests.

“It is very pleasant, in this sense that we had a lot of people who are fans of the show who came to us and who say that they would be ready to be part of it, which is great,” he said. “But the truth is that the way we write the episodes is like, we somehow offer a very specific joke that very few people really could do, you know?”

Rogen underlined the episode of Martin Scorsese of “The Studio” – which has earned one of these Emmy nominations – as an excellent example, explaining that they had to recruit a director who would make a huge budget film on Jonestown, which would then be called “Kool -Aid”.
