Republican senator John Kennedy of Louisiana told Fox Business Larry Kudlow on Tuesday that he suspects that China was cooking his books on economic growth.

President Donald Trump announced a 90-day break on reciprocal prices via an April 9 article on Truth Social which also announced a substantial increase in prices on Chinese exports to the United States, a week after initially unveiled the functions on imports. In an executive decree of April 2, Trump also ended with the exception of “minimis” for packages sent directly from China, gutting a price of 25 or 30%.
