Sabrina Carpenter reveals the hilarious cameo that she wants on “adults”

If you are a fan of Sabrina Carpenter and “adults” of FX, you may be lucky.

The pop star attended a pop-up event at the Hollywood Forever cemetery organized by Spotify Thursday evening (she worked late because she is a singer). There, Carpenter spoke to some of her best listeners of her next album “Man’s Best Friend”, which she will be released on Friday August 29.

During a Q&R organized by Carpenter’s friend, Owen Thiele, the singer revealed what the new hot show she would like to appear: the own series of Thiele, “adult” on FX.

“I cry,” said Thiele. “Put this on Tiktok!”

Although Thiele was not prepared for Carpenter said she would like to play in the series.

“I would love to be growth on my back,” started Carpenter.

“What?” Asked Theile.

“Growth on the back,” said Carpenter. “Like, if I was right, like, attached to you like a backpack all season and no one spoke about it, would it not be funny? No one said a word, but I was still there.”

“Growth on my back?” Asked Thiele.

“This is what they call, right?” Carpenter asked the crowd. Thiele said he would launch it. You can look at the full exchange below.

Created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, “Adult” was presented on FX at the end of May 2025. The comedy series follows a twenty -year -old group sailing in modern life in Queens, New York. Thiele is part of a central set of five people with Malik Elassal, Lucy Freyer, Jack Innanen and Amicita Rao. The show received positive criticism, although it has not yet been renewed for a second season.

Thiele and Carpenter were friends before the prior event, Thiele having appeared on her special Netflix in 2024 “has nonsense with Sabrina Carpenter”. During the Spotify fans event, Thiele spoke to Carpenter of the release that will soon be released “Man’s Best Friend”, a follow -up of the album by Carpenter’s Grammy “Short N ‘Sweet”.

“The best friend of the man” attracted early online controversy for his cover, which represents Carpenter on his knees with an invisible individual gripping his hair. While some fans and criticisms qualified the misogynistic and regressive works of art, Carpenter has repeatedly said that she did not see him under the same light. Shortly after her release, she commented the controversy saying that her works were “approved by God”.

“Between me and my friends and my family and the people I always share with my music and my art, it was not even a conversation,” she said “CBS Mornings” on the day of the album. “It was right, like, it’s perfect for what the album is.”

“Everything about me was just as if the opposite of the end of the world,” added Carpenter. “You must all get out more.”
