Sean Penn would work again with Woody Allen

Sean Penn says he would work with Woody Allen despite allegations of sexual abuse on children taken from the famous director.

“I would work with him in the blink of an eye, if it was the right thing,” said Penn in the May 12 episode of “The Louis Theroux Podcast”. He received his second Oscar appointment for his work on Allen’s film in 1999 “Sweet and Lowdown”.

During the appearance of the podcast, the double winner of the Oscars made a series of other controversial comments concerning Allen, apparently trying to sow doubt on the claims of Dylan Farrow according to which she was attacked by her famous father.

“Do I think he has a bad blow? With these things, I don’t know anyone well enough to say 100%, that didn’t happen or that did not happen,” said Penn.

The environmental activist continued, telling the host Louis Theroux that “God forbids that you are mistaken and that there is a victim involved in something, right? But my boy, I find what I know … I read everything, the stories are especially told by people that I would not trust with a penny. It seems so strongly weighted.”

In 1992, the first allegations were made that Allen attacked his daughter. The Documentary HBO 2021 “Allen v. Farrow” shows video sequences at home from a Dylan Farrow, 7, making his demand for the camera.

“Are you talking in general, right? Or, not specifically on Woody Allen?” Theroux asked the star “milk”. “Because it was mainly her distant daughter.” Then Penn said: “Girl but also son” to which Theroux said: “Ronan made a journalist.” Penn replied: “You gave him this title, not me.”

Before Allen’s 12 years with Mia Farrow, she and ex-Mari André Previn (the famous Maestro) adopted Soon-Yi Previn. But later, in 1997, Allen married Soon-Yi Previn, who was 35 years old. Previn and Allen have stayed together since.

Sean Penn Slams, son and journalist of Woody Allen, Ronan Farrow

Ronan Farrow, Allen’s son with actress Mia Farrow, is a writer for the New Yorker who won a Pulitzer Prize in 2018 for his work that has untangled Harvey Weinstein’s predators’ sexual abuse against women in Hollywood.

“I think it is quite respected, written for the New Yorker,” said Theroux. Penn said that “I understand this”, before saying it to Theroux “, I say it: I am not aware – and maybe I’m just an ignorant, it is a possibility – I am not aware of any clinical or psychiatrist or anyone to whom I have ever heard or who does not present themselves.

“And when people try to associate what was his, let’s say, much younger friends, good or evil, it’s not the conversation here. Post-puberty, consensual stuff is, for me, a different conversation,” said Penn.

Penn added: “Whatever the worst suspicions of people about it, check them with the separate facts of the moment and movement and all those who took advantage of it,” apparently in reference to the victory of Pulitzer de Farrow and the #MeToo Global movement.

“Take just a second. That’s all I say. I see that he is not proven guilty, so I take it as Innocent, and I would work with him in the blink of an eye,” Penn told Theroux.
