Red Sox Rhp Hunter Dobbins Tears Right ACL

The Boston Red Sox launcher, Hunter Dobbins, has torn his right -to -right cross -checking ligament on Friday evening and was placed on the 15 -day injured list on Saturday.
The team has not announced a calendar for the restoration of the right -handed recruit or surgery plans.
In a corresponding movement, the Red Sox recalled the right-hander Richard Fitts of Triple-A Worcester.
Dobbins, 25, left Boston’s 5-4 victory against the Rays of Tampa Bay on Friday in the second round with what the team called the right knee pain.
The injury occurred when Dobbins covered the first on the player of the Rays Chandler Simpson defender to the first goal Abraham Toro for the second round. He came to box after hitting the bag. Fitts, 25, has shared time between Boston and Triple-A Worcester this season. With the Red Sox, it is 1-3 with an MPM of 4.28 in eight departures.
