The Boston Red Sox launcher, Hunter Dobbins, has torn his right -to -right cross -checking ligament on Friday evening and was placed on the 15 -day injured list on Saturday.
The team has not announced a calendar for the restoration of the right -handed recruit or surgery plans.
In a corresponding movement, the Red Sox recalled the right-hander Richard Fitts of Triple-A Worcester.
Dobbins, 25, left Boston’s 5-4 victory against the Rays of Tampa Bay on Friday in the second round with what the team called the right knee pain.
The injury occurred when Dobbins covered the first on the player of the Rays Chandler Simpson defender to the first goal Abraham Toro for the second round. He came to box after hitting the bag. After a warm -up field, the manager of the Red Sox, Alex Cora, called Jorge Alcala out of the lift enclosure.
Dobbins had just been restored by the list of wounded 15 days before the match, after missing 18 games due to a tension in the right elbow. He made a rehabilitation start for Double-A Portland before his return.
Dobbins, which made its MLB debut on April 6, has a 4-1 file with an MPM of 4.13 in 13 appearances (11 departures).
Fitts, 25, has shared time between Boston and Triple-A Worcester this season. With the Red Sox, it is 1-3 with an MPM of 4.28 in eight departures.
