CNN’s main political commentator, Scott Jennings, torn the representative Jasmine Crockett on Sunday after the Texas Democrat attacked the founder of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk earlier on the network.
Crockett appeared on Sunday “State of the Union” on Sunday and continued after the conservative chief killed after host Dana Bash rushed to vote against a resolution condemning her murder. She deplored that “only two Caucasians” joined her in opposition and qualified Kirk as “Confederate” with “harmful” rhetoric. Kirk was killed in Utah on September 10 by an alleged assassin who also said Kirk was doing harmful things. When Bash confronted Crockett about his previous anterior rhetoric, Crockett doubled, hitting Kirk and President Donald Trump and making another Hitler comparison. When Bash asked Jennings his answer, he unleashed on her, starting with three simple words: “Well, she lies.”
“I mean, Charlie Kirk did not target anyone. He was not racist in any case. I listened to hours, hours and hours and hours of debate and discussion of Charlie Kirk and I was with Charlie Kirk and I made events with Charlie Kirk and knew Charlie Kirk. There was no racist bone in his body,” said Jennings. “To say that he was continuously targeting people of color is nothing other than a malicious smear the same day that people remember Charlie, and he is going to be put at rest.”
“And so, I think that when you combine the votes not on resolution, then you look at the main democratic voices like Ilhan Omar and Jasmine Crockett, who went to blow Charlie before he even had his funeral,” said Jennings. “When I hear people say, we have to come together and the two parties must refuse rhetoric, you know, many people say that it must look at right now. I have been shocked by that. Well, I suppose that I should say that I am shocked by her, but I was a little, little amazed by what happened this morning.”
Four Republicans joined the Democrats to defeat a resolution to censor Omar for comments she made during an appearance of September 11 on Zeteo News, where she told Mehdi Hasan that those who defended the appearances on the Kirk campus were “full of shit”.
Crockett has a story of making inflammatory declarations, recently comparing immigration and the application of customs in the United States (ICE) to “slave patrols”, defending Trump’s comparisons with Hitler during an appearance of September 12 on “The Breakfast Club”, the supporters of Trump were mentally illuminated and mocked by the Gregican Grag Abbott uses a roller.
