ROOKE: Trump appears to be trolling the left by renovating the White House bathroom

Democrats are already threatening to demolish the new ballroom that President Donald Trump is building in the East Wing of the White House. It’s exciting to think about what they’ll do with his latest White House renovation project.
Trump announced Friday that he had completely renovated the private bathroom that serves the historic Lincoln Room. The renovation should come as no surprise to the left, since Trump had already revealed that work had begun during an October press conference detailing his plans for the White House ballroom. At the time, he billed the remodel as restoring a style more authentic to the 19th-century era of Abraham Lincoln, simply by replacing outdated green tiles in the Lincoln bedroom bathroom. “We have little things, like in the Lincoln bedroom. The bathroom was done by the Truman family a long time ago. And it’s done with green tile…in a style that wasn’t exactly Abe Lincoln’s. It’s a style that’s not good,” Trump said. “It’s actually Art Deco. And Art Deco doesn’t go with 1850 and the Civil War and all the problems. But what does do the trick is the statuary marble. I took it down and we built a bathroom. It’s absolutely beautiful and totally in keeping with that era because the Lincoln Room is, uh, so amazing, for those of you who have seen it.”
However, photos posted by Trump on Friday on Truth Social appear to show that the bathroom has been completely redone to reflect a modern revival of the classic elegance of marble.
Trump spoke about his affinity for the Lincoln Bedroom and its history during a viral episode of the Joe Rogan podcast, airing during the 2024 election. (ROOKE: The Real Reason Trump is Renovating the Buried White House)
“I was there and I told the guys, I want to see the Lincoln Room. I had never seen the Lincoln Room. I had heard about the Lincoln Room, and I was standing with my wife, I said, ‘Do you believe it?’ This is the Lincoln room. “I mean, it was incredible,” Trump told the host while describing the first moments at the White House after winning the 2016 election.
“Because, look, if you like the country, but here you are, the Lincoln room and the bed, you know, he was very tall, he was six foot six, which would then be like, like Barron, would be like Barron Trump, he’s six foot six, but six foot six, he was very tall, and then on top of that, he was wearing, he was wearing this [top hat]“, Trump continued.
It’s hard to imagine how the left could be angry about something so beautiful. Yet their lopsided reaction to his new ballroom, along with other updates, like adding gold accents to the Oval Office, paving parts of the Rose Garden to avoid wet grass and high heels problems, and installing towering flagpoles, seemingly highlight their allergy to taste and everything Trump touches.
