She then landed management positions at age 21.st Century Fox and Vendôme Pictures, where she worked on several films including “Source Code,” “Kingsman: Secret Service,” “Spy,” “The Greatest Showman” and more.
She returned to the agency in 2017. In the media financing department, she helps filmmakers close financing and distribution deals. Her clients include Nadine Labaki, Jennifer Kent, Pamela Adlon, Rebecca Zlotowski, Ladj Ly, Karim Aïnouz and Dakota Johnson’s TeaTime Pictures. She was instrumental in the sales and financing of notable recent films such as “Bugonia”, “Conclave”, “Hit Man”, “Coda”, “My Old Ass”, “Challengers”, “The Holdovers”, “The Last Showgirl” and “May December”.
In an official announcement, Sutherland said: “Sarah and I have worked together in various capacities over the years. She is brilliant and has impeccable taste. I have always admired her creativity and strong advocate for the artist. When she joined us almost a decade ago, she fit in seamlessly and immediately became a vital member of our CAA team. I couldn’t be prouder or more excited to see her step into this new role. “
Schweitzman’s rise comes as she and Sutherland’s longtime colleague Ben Kramer left CAA this year to pilot a new distribution division at independent stalwart Black Bear.
