Sami Whitcomb obtains 36 and Alyssa Thomas has the 16th triple-double in Mercury’s victory against Wings

Phoenix (AP)-Sami Whitcomb scored 29 of her 36 career points in the first half, Alyssa Thomas had his 16th triple-double in career and the Phoenix Mercury beat the Dallas Wings 102-72 Monday evening to avoid their first sequence of losses of three games of the season.
The 29 of Whitcomb were the points most marked by a WNBA player in half this season.

Whitcomb scored 22 points in the first 12 minutes to help Phoenix build an advance of 33-21. She made 10 of her first 12 goals on the ground, with her sixth 3-point pointer giving Phoenix an advance of 46-33.
Whitcomb was the victim of a fault on a 3 -point attempt with 8:27 to do in the third quarter and made two free throws to establish a new career summit with 31 points. The Mercury avenged a defeat of 98-89 Thursday against the Wings, which were the first team in 25 years to start four recruits.
