Inside Drew Brees’ Estimated $160 Million Net Worth

What is Drew Brees’ net worth? The future Pro Football Hall of Famer reportedly has a net worth of around $160 million. Over two decades in the NFL with the Chargers and Saints, Brees earned $270 million in salary and about $15 million per year at his peak in endorsements.

He signed a six-year, $60 million contract in 2006, a five-year, $100 million contract in 2012 (which at the time was the largest in NFL history in terms of guaranteed money), and a two-year, $50 million contract in 2018 during his tenure with the Saints, among other deals, extensions and bonuses.

During that time, the Texas native also won two NFL Offensive Player of the Year awards, became the NFL’s passing yards leader seven times, earned 13 Pro Bowl selections and earned a first-team All-Pro nod. This level of success has helped him secure a number of high-profile sponsorships from major brands such as Nike, Pepsi, Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, Verizon, and Wrangler.

Brees, known for his dependable leadership and pinpoint accuracy, led New Orleans to its first-ever Super Bowl victory in 2010, earning MVP honors for his performance. The same year, his book “Coming Back Stronger: Unleashing the Hidden Power of Adversity” debuted at #3 on the New York Times bestseller list, and he was voted the cover athlete of the EA Sports Madden NFL 11 video game.

Off the field, Brees has built one of the most comprehensive business profiles among former NFL players, serving as co-owner or franchisee of Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar, Jimmy John’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Small Sliders and Happy’s Irish Pub, among others.
