Sai Sudharsan takes cricket’s most incredible catch and gets injured; Morne Morkel left stunned in Delhi

Indian batter Sai Sudharsan is surely having a great outing at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. After a splendid knock of 87, the batter now dominated the field with an incredible catch at short leg, as Ravindra Jadeja dismissed West Indies opener John Campbell.

India dominated the West Indies throughout the tour, and one of the main reasons for the West Indies batting collapse in the first Test was the Indians’ strong fielding. They continued this in the second test as well.

Sai Sudharsan pulls off a bizarre catch

After declaring their innings at a score of 518, the Indians took the field in the second session of play to bowl to the West Indies batters. The pitch has looked much flatter so far, and not much is expected in favor of the bowlers.

After both seamers went wicketless in their first spell, Shubman Gill called Ravindra Jadeja to try the spinner. Jadeja picked up 4 wickets in the second innings of the Ahmedabad Test.

In his very first over of the match, he dismissed West Indian opener John Campbell for 10 runs after the batter hit him for a boundary off the first ball. The ball landed on length and Campbell attempted a hard sweep, connecting softly, but to his disbelief the ball continued to hit Sudharsan at short leg as he held the ball despite initially giving up with his hands on his shoulders and his head going down.

The Indians were happy to have drawn first blood and so was Jadeja, who didn’t get an outing with the bat this time. However, Sudharsan himself looked uncomfortable as the ball rushed across his body and made an obvious impact. Moreover, Indian coaches including Morne Morkel were absolutely shocked to see Sai Sudharsan make this catch.
