The legendary striker Sachin Tentulkar inaugurated the conference room appointed in his honor at the headquarters of the BCCI in Mumbai. The former Indian skipper spoke of key moments in his career, including the disappointment of the 2007 World Cup and raised the trophy at the Wankhede stadium in 2011.

Earlier this month, Sachin Tendulkar inaugurated a conference room called “SRT 100” at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. BCCI officials, including President Roger Binny, Vice-President Rajeev Shukla, secretary Devajit Saikia and joint secretary Rohan Jaitley, attended the event.

“Bang in front of the India cricket club, a small room was there, and I still remember visiting this place, which was the BCCI office in 1989, when I made my first tour of Pakistan. From there, it is a remarkable transformation,” said Tenteulkar by speaking during the meeting.

“What makes the place even more special is these priceless trophies. It is a reflection of what the BCCI office carriers and players were able to plan and execute by helping the country to achieve it. So they are invaluable moments,” added Tingeulkar, while looking at the ICC trophies that India has won.

I remember having a conversation with my brother – Sachin Tendulkar

Tendulkar said that it was a difficult period after the early release of India in the 2007 World Cup, adding that he even planned to retire the game. He recalled an emotional conversation with his brother, who urged him to continue the vision of raising the World Cup on the soil at home in 2011.

“2007 When we returned from the Antilles, the number of thoughts came to me. Whether it was time to continue or move away. I remember having a conversation with my brother,” said Tendulkar while pointing the World Cup trophy.

Sachin Tendulkar played its last test game in 2013

Tendulkar made its debut in testing against Pakistan in 1989 at the emblematic Old Trafford in Manchester. The right -handed striker played 200 test games, amassing a record of 15,921 points with an extraordinary average of 53.78.

Tentulkar also dominated international day, marking more than 18,000 points. He was the first cricket player to score 100 international centuries, a record still to beat.

The former cricket player played his last test game in 2013 against the Antilles at the Mumbai Wankhede stadium, where he studied sincere by fans and teammates. He was also part of the Indian team winner of the ODI World Cup in 2011.
