The legendary striker Sachin Tentulkar inaugurated the conference room appointed in his honor at the headquarters of the BCCI in Mumbai. Tendulkar said that it was a difficult period after the early release of India in the 2007 World Cup, adding that he even planned to retire the game. He recalled an emotional conversation with his brother, who urged him to continue the vision of raising the World Cup on the soil at home in 2011.

“2007 When we returned from the Antilles, the number of thoughts came to me. Whether it was time to continue or move away. I remember having a conversation with my brother,” said Tendulkar while pointing the World Cup trophy.

Tentulkar also dominated international day, marking more than 18,000 points. He was the first cricket player to score 100 international centuries, a record still to beat.
