Ryder Cup: Tommy Fleetwood says that Team Europe has “good hands for a long time”, that Luke Donald remains as captain | News Golf

Tommy Fleetwood believes that Team Europe is between “good hands for a long time”, that Luke Donald continues as captain of the Ryder Cup or not.
Donald weighed a third passage in Ireland in 2027 after having become the second European skipper, after Tony Jacklin, to win home at home against the United States.
The Englishman followed by guiding his side towards the victory in Rome in 2023 with a nervous success in New York last week when Europe avoided a late return from the United States of Keegan Bradley.
Justin Rose, part of the game team for triumph 15-13 with Bethpage Black, and the Molinari Francesco and Edoardo brothers, both vice caps of Donald, were presented as possible successors if necessary.
Speaking before the Alfred Dunhill Links championship, live Sky Sports From Thursday, Fleetwood said about the Captain of the Ryder Cup: “I think the ball is probably in Luke’s Court, I think he won this.
“Justin Rose will play the Ryder Cup when he is 102 years old, so we may have to wait a while!
Fleetwood: Molinari has respect for his peers
“I have also spoke several times to Francesco Molinari. I think that the respect he has of his peers, his achievements, greatly contributes to being captain of the Ryder Cup.
“I think we have an incredible plan for the Europe team and the incredible captains waiting. We will see where we are going in the future, but we have been in good hands for a long time.”
Rose told Media this week: “I don’t even know when this decision must be made. There is no clear path on this subject, it is Luke’s decision, first and foremost, to see what he wants to do, then go from there.
“Many captains have said:” Take your game days for as long as you can. “It is not a question of being in a team, but it is a question of playing fairly well to be useful to this team. This is my goal, I think, in the future.”
When he was asked for his most expensive moments of his first victory abroad in a Ryder Cup, Fleetwood – who recorded four points of his five games in New York – added: “The bus journey was really good.
“But holding the trophy at the end after doing what we had come was so satisfactory. You are going a lot together this week.
“You hold this trophy in front of your fans. These are the times we will remember the most.”
