Ryan Reynolds Nathans Hot Dog Eating Contest AD AD with Costco CFO

Ryan Reynolds has already made his mark in the world of British football with Wrexham AFC, he has challenges in a football team in Mexico, a Formula 1 team and a SAILGP team. Now he comes for competitive eaters.
Ok, not exactly.
Later in the day, Nathan’s will host his annual competition on the hot dogs of July 4 at the New York Promenade in Coney Island. The event will, as usual, will be lived live by ESPN. And this year will mark the return of the Hot-Dogs champion, Joey Chestnut, who jumped last year’s event due to a sponsorship with impossible food (no Nathan’s vegetarian dogs, only all-Bee Franks).
But ESPN viewers will also receive help from Reynolds, who will appear in several television spots during the competition alongside one of the biggest celebrities in the world of hot dogs: Richard Galanti.
Galanti, of course, is the former financial director of Costco, the Gros club who sold a combo of hot dog and soda of $ 1.50 in the past 40 years, without increasing the price once. Galanti was one of the leaders of Costco who moved the earth and the sky to keep it so.
Now Reynolds wants Galanti to bring the same approach to one of his companies: Mint Mobile, the wireless company he sold in T-Mobile in an agreement of $ 1.3 billion two years ago.
“I cannot confirm or deny that Mint Mobile will soon spread in the Hot-Dogs sector. Mainly because no one at Mint Mobile will confirm my desire to expand in the hot dog sector, “explains Reynolds.
In fact, Mint Mobile does not develop in the sausages, at least not yet. In the advertisement which will take place during the Nathan Hot-Dogs restoration competition, Reynolds will present Galanti as a new “anti-inflation agent” of Mint (at least for this advertising campaign) stressing that his plans have remained at $ 15 per month since the launch.
“For 40 years, we did everything it took to keep the Hot-Dog / Soda combo at $ 1.50,” Galanti said in a statement. “So, when Mint Mobile called to make me their honorary anti-inflation manager, I thought it would be great to team up with a business that likes to save money to people almost as much as I like hot dogs and excellent quality / price ratio!”
“We have been fighting on inflation since 2016, when we started selling premium wireless for $ 15 / month,” added Andrew Fried, CMO at Mint Mobile. “Although his perseverance to defend customers inspires us, I am not sure that there will be a lot to do for our new anti-inflation chief because we do not intend to increase the price by $ 15 / month.”
Advertising comes from maximum effort, the marketing company that Reynolds and its co-founder George Dewey reacted earlier this year at the Ad Tech MNTN platform.
