Fate regularly seemed to put Ryan Fitzpatrick in the right place in his NFL 17 -year career.
The ultimate companion of the NFL, Fitzpatrick, spent time with nine teams, often joining a probable backup before being plunged into a starting role. At more than one opportunity, Fitzpatrick took advantage of it and ran with it, even if it is only temporarily.
From his longest departure job sustained in Buffalo to his brightness flashes in New York and Tampa Bay, Fitzpatrick saw everything despite the start of an eliminatory match.

Timeline of Ryan Fitzpatrick teams
St. Louis Rams (2005-06)
A choice of seventh round in Harvard, Fitzpatrick, joined the Rams of Saint-Louis with distant chances of having an impact. After winning a competition to become the quarter-back of the third chain of Saint-Louis, however, the two-quarter injuries in front of Fitzpatrick on the depth board put it under the spotlight. Fitzpatrick launched 310 yards during its beginnings in the NFL despite not having entered before the second quarter, leading the Rams to a return victory in overtime.
Fitzpatrick was not credited with victory because he did not start, so his first official NFL victory should wait: he was put on the bench during his third departure with the Rams and did not see the field in 2006.
Cincinnati Bengals (2007-08)
Buffalo Bills (2009-12)
Provising that he could be a capable backup, Fitzpatrick won a three-year agreement with the Buffalo Bills and entered the 2009 season as a quarter 2 of the team behind the Starter Trent Edwards. After briefly replaced an injured Edwards, Fitzpatrick received the keys to the offensive for the last six games of the season after coach Dick Jauron was dismissed in mid-season.
Despite the fact of spending 4-4 in a team that finished 6-10, Fitzpatrick launched more interceptions than the affected and failed to win the starting station in 2010. Tennessee Titans (2013)
With a new regime in place, the Bills chose to go in a different direction in 2013 and let Fitzpatrick hit the free market, where he concluded an agreement with the Tennessee titans to replace Matt Hasselbeck and save the starter Jake Locker. Locker suffered an injury at the end of the season in November, forcing Fitzpatrick under the center for the rest of the season; He went 3-6 with 14 affected at 12 interceptions.
Houston Texans (2014)
Back on the free market, Fitzpatrick signed a two-year agreement with the Texans of Houston and was appointed Quarterrière starting from the team before the start of the training camp. His race as a starter lasted two months, while coach Lovie Smith put him in the bench for Ryan Mallett in November.
As fate would have done, Fitzpatrick returned under the center in a few weeks due to an injury to Malalet, and he launched six passes in his first start. Fitzpatrick ended the season with a 6-6 file.
New York Jets (2015-16)
A new New York Jets regime wanted a quarter -back veteran to join Geno Smith in 2015, and the adjustment between Fitzpatrick and the offensive coordinator Chan Gailey – his former head coach in Buffalo – was ideal. The jets and the Texans have left an agreement near the start of the free agency to send the veteran to New York.
This is where Fitzpatrick’s improbable promotions at the starting work are starting to become bizarre. Todd Bowles insisted that Smith would be the starter of the jets in 2015 until Smith was struck by a teammate on August 11 and suffered a broken jaw. Fitzpatrick instantly became the starter of the jets and made one of the best seasons of quarter-arre in the history of the franchise, launching 3,905 yards and 31 affected while leading the jets to 10 victories.
Despite the surprise success, Fitzpatrick ended the year on a low note when he fought in a match against the Bills which could have won a place in the playoffs for the jets. Fitzpatrick could not repeat this success in 2016, because it was put in bench twice – once for Geno Smith and once for Bryce Petty after having returned for an injured Smith.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2017-18)
Fitzpatrick started only three games for the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay in 2017 after joining the replacement of Jameis Winston, but the spotlights found him when Winston was suspended for the first three games of the 2018 season. Fitzpatrick did all kinds of history in these three games, launching more than 400 yards in each and 10 touches in total with the holy victories and Eagles.
Fitzpatrick kept the starting work on Winston even after launching three interceptions during a narrow defeat of week 3 against the Steelers, but he was bench at the start of the week 4 quieter and was ineffective in three starters after Winston was bench at the end of October.
Miami Dolphins (2019-20)
Fitzpatrick joined Miami Dolphins from Brian Flores in 2019 and won the starting station against Josh Rosen, going 5-8 with 20 affected and 13 interceptions on 13 departures. The dolphins briefly bench of Fitzpatrick after a lamentable start to the season, but he replaced Rosen in October and held the post the rest of the path, largely over -part of the low expectations of the rest of the path.
Fitzpatrick beat the Tua Tagovailoa recruit for the starting work in 2020, but it was only a matter of time until the very tuned Tagovailoa intervened. Flores made the change after week 6, although Fitzpatrick saw an occasional time under the center of the trunction, even by winning a key match 16 in Tagovailo relief.
Washington football team (2021)
Washington’s football team, now known as Washington commanders, brought Fitzpatrick to start Taylor Heinicke in 2021, but its passage lasted a whole match due to a hip injury. Fitzpatrick finally decided to withdraw the following off -season.

Ryan Fitzpatrick NFL Highlights
Fitzpatrick flashed at the start of Fitzmagic when he intervened for Trent Edwards in Buffalo.

The biggest victory in Fitzpatrick’s career was undoubtedly the upheaval of week 16 of the New England Patriots jets in 2016, which temporarily put them in the eliminatory position:

Why was Ryan Fitzpatrick called Fitzmagic?
Fitzmagic’s nickname of Fitzpatrick gathered steam while he presented unexpected lightning lights.
Already an anomaly in a long career in the NFL as a choice of seventh lap in an Ivy League school, Fitzpatrick challenged the chances with a game of six fresh bench affected for the Texans, a 31 laps season for the jets and its incredible (but in short) race with the Buccaneers.
A quarter -known quarter of brilliant throws but many reckless decisions, Fitzpatrick’s success flashes have been nicknamed “Fitzmagic” – they don’t often last very long.
