EXCLUSIVE: The filmmaker twice of the Oscars, Ryan Coogler, joined forces with the Armenian Film Society to honor his long -standing trading partner, the prolific producer Sev Ohanian, with an enthronement at the temple of the renown of the Armenian film.
The honor will be presented on the finishing day of the Armenian Film Festival 2025 which was held in Los Angeles from September 3 to 7, during the Gala AFS in Verto Event linked to Glendale, in California. Celebrating a decade of the work of the non -profit organization. Earlier in the afternoon, the festival will organize a special conversation between the duo at the Alex historic theater in the city.

We are delighted to mark this stage with our gala and a special conversation with two visionary filmmakers who have transformed Hollywood thanks to their collaboration: Ryan Coogler and Sev Ohanian.”
Ohanian added: “I am incredibly honored – this organization means that the world for me. Armenians have a deep tradition of narration, and AFS has become a home for this heritage to prosper. Being recognized by them is something I will wear with me. And having Ryan, whose partnership has always been rooted in shared values and objectives, the price presents even more significant. ”
Coogler and Ohanian – who recently collaborated in the box of the box office acclaimed by criticism Sinners – will discuss their friendship and their career trajectory dating from their stay at the revered cinematographic school of the University of Southern California, as well as their first film, the production company Proximity Media (which they launched alongside the wife to coogle Zinzi Coogler) and mutual interest in supporting AFS work.
