BALTIMORE – The Baltimore Orioles placed the Receiver Adley Rutschman on the 10 -day injured list with a tense right oblique.
The move, carried out Thursday and retroactive on Monday, comes less than a month after the return of Rutschman of the IL after having been absent for five weeks with a left oblique tension.
Now in his fourth season since he was selected with the first choice of the 2019 draft, Rutschman Bat .227 with nine circuits and 29 points produced in 85 games.
The recruit Samuel Basallo will enter the departure formation, said the acting manager Tony Mansolino. Basallo, 21, made his debut in the major league on Sunday after being promoted Triple-A Norfolk.
Basallo led to the shots race during the 11th round of the Tuesday match in Boston and is one of the only players in the history of the Orioles to drive in at least one round in each of its first three games.
