Russian hunter MMA Timur Khizriev was shot down by masked attackers in Daghestan – Meduza

The masked attackers attacked the Russian fighter of MMA Timur Khizriev with less lethal weapons in Dagrestan on Tuesday evening, according to the state media.

The incident took place around 11:30 p.m. near a residential building in Makhachkala. The Telegram Baza channel reports that two masked men were waiting for Khizriev. When he got out of his car, they opened fire on him with traumatic pistols.

Ria Novosti said Khizriev was hospitalized with “several traumatic injuries”.

“He suffered surgery. He was hit by at least five laps. As long as I know, none of the injuries was penetrating,” a source close to Khizriev told Tass.
