While I am fully on board with what Harjo delivers with DecreaseI am also very happy to see what he continues to do in the future. The series is broadcast on FX and is available to broadcast on Hulu.
“ The remains of the day ” (1993) with Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson

Vintage films can be a little difficult to undertake, especially if you are not used to it. However, some are really worth your time; The remains of the day is one. Featuring Oscar winners Anthony Hopkins And Emma ThompsonThe film tells the story of Mr. Stevens (Hopkins), a devoted butler who is faithful to a fault at Lord Darlington (James Fox), a weak man with growing fascist sympathies. When Mrs. Kenton (Thompson) is voluntary but good heart, Stevens will see, perhaps, perhaps for the first time, her rigorous lifestyle.
A masterpiece of melancholy and desire,, The remains of the day is the kind of film that will perceive your soul and leave you a unique feeling of delicious grief. Thompson and Hopkins deliver what are the best performance of their careers (hot taking, I presume?), And the reliable touch of James Ivory gives an additional layer of dignified peat with the whole affair. I remember watching her for the first time almost fifteen years ago and thought it was so mature, so high, but never pretentious.
How can something so good taste and pricing be so raw, almost visceral? Everything is in tacit words, stolen looks, absence of contact, the affection hidden in small interactions. Of course, if you don’t like soft-love ends, it will probably not be for you. However, The remains of the day is one of the best films in the 90s; Partly study of the characters, partly exploration of a life devoid of meaning in the pursuit of duty and partly burning and unrealized romance.
