Liverpool seeks to improve their defensive unit with the signatures of Marc Guehi and Giovanni Leoni.

Liverpool was largely linked to the two players, and Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that they are working to sign the two players for weeks. It will be interesting to see if they can pass the two offers through the line.

Liverpool must improve defensively

They seemed vulnerable defensively in the last 12 months, and they need quality defenders. Guehi will be out of contract next summer, and it’s the right time for him to move on. Crystal Palace must sell it, unless they want to lose it during a free transfer next year.

Guehi has proven himself in the Premier League with Crystal Palace, and that’s the right time for him to take up a new challenge. He helped Eagles win the FA Cup and the community shield. He hopes to fight for major trophies now, and Liverpool could provide him with this platform.

On the other hand, Leoni was exceptional for Parma and the 18 -year -old is very well evaluated across Europe. He has the tools to become a high -level player, and move to Liverpool could unlock his true potential.

Joining one of the biggest clubs in the world will be very exciting for the 18 -year -old. They have done well to prepare the talented young players over the years, and Liverpool could help Leoni to achieve his potential.

Ibrahima Konate could leave the club on a free transfer next summer, and Joe Gomez fought against persistent injury problems. The signing of some central defenders would be a wise decision. The captain of the Virgil Van Dijk club also enters the stages of the twilight of his career.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool can agree on an agreement with Crystal Palace and Parma in the coming weeks.
