RUMOR: Seth Rogen’s Mysterious Role in DC Studios’ SUPERGIRL Revealed

Earlier this week, a recent leak Supergirl Test screenings have revealed that Seth Rogen will have a voice appearance in the DC Studios film.

Speculation about who he might play began immediately, with perhaps the most baffling suggestion being that The Workshop The star could lend his voice to Krypto the Superdog. Why being under a red sun and getting shot with one of Krem of the Yellow Hills’ poisonous arrows would give the Kryptonian dog the ability to speak is lost on us.

Also, why would Krypto look like Seth Rogen?!

Regardless, the role of the actor and filmmaker in Supergirl has now been revealed by Daniel Richtman. He explains that Rogen plays “a little alien who helps operate a space bus” adding that it is “rather funny” in the film.

In the Supergirl: the woman of tomorrow comic, Kara Zor-El’s spaceship is stolen by Krem, forcing her and Ruthye Marye Knoll to travel across the galaxy on “public” transportation. Perhaps this is where Rogen’s character comes into play.

As for why Rogen is joining the DCU in a cameo role like this, it could be as simple as filmmaker Craig Gillespie feeling that his voice was a good fit for whoever this mysterious character was. It’s not like Rogen is a stranger to comic books either, having worked on Preacher, The boysAnd Invincible.

“One of the things I think is interesting about the movie is that most of the movies we’ve done with female-led heroes have been like ‘perfect badasses.’ »James Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios, recently said. “And Supergirl isn’t that. She’s a reluctant hero. I don’t think she necessarily wants to wear that costume, or even be a hero.”

“She’s her own thing, and that’s how you [Milly] play the character. But the other thing is they have this very unique “Milly Alcock” sense of humor. he continued. “He’s very close to a sniper, with discreet little comments and very funny looks.”

Supergirlthe latest DC Studios feature film to hit the big screen, is coming to theaters worldwide next summer from Warner Bros. Pictures, and stars Milly Alcock in the dual role of Supergirl/Kara Zor-El. Craig Gillespie is directing the film from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira.

When an unexpected and ruthless adversary hits too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly teams up with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice. Alcock stars alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham and Jason Momoa.

The film is produced by Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo and Lars P. Winther. Behind the camera, Gillespie is joined by cinematographer Rob Hardy, production designer Neil Lamont, editor Tatiana S. Riegel, costume designer Anna B. Sheppard, visual effects supervisor Geoffrey Baumann and composer Ramin Djawadi.

Supergirl arrives in theaters on June 26, 2026.
