RUMOR: Marvel Studios Has Plans for a GHOST RIDER Project in the MCU Post-AVENGERS: SECRET WARS

Rumors have been circulating for a while that Marvel Studios intends to introduce a new version of Ghost Rider in Avengers: Apocalypseno big surprise when the Russo Brothers made a habit of adding new characters to the MCU.

Over the years, this list has included The Falcon, Black Panther, Spider-Man, and to some extent, Thanos. While we wait to see if these reports come to fruition in December, Daniel Richtman shed some light on Marvel Studios’ more ambitious plans for Ghost Rider.

He reports this, “Marvel is making a Ghost Rider project in the next saga.” This follows reports of a possible TV series and plans for the character to take center stage in the long-rumored series. Son of Midnight movie.

Other recent and widely familiar updates from Richtman include the Champions And Strange Academy TV Shows to Watch Avengers: Secret Wars and potentially operate for several seasons. He also heard that a Jessica Jones the project is in preparation.

Finally, he notes that Gwyneth Paltrow returns as Pepper Potts in both films. Avengers: Apocalypse And Avengers: Secret Wars. However, the actress has already half-confirmed that she will appear in the first.

Marvel Studios has owned the rights to the Ghost Rider character since the crash and fire of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance for Sony Pictures in 2012. Kevin Feige licensed Marvel Television to use the Robbie Reyes version of the anti-hero in Agents of SHIELD for a brief period, and there was talk of a spinoff TV series.

This never came to fruition, in part because Marvel Studios later took full control of Marvel’s production (leading to Disney’s demise of the Jeph Loeb-led production company).

Since then, rumors have persisted that Johnny is set to make his MCU debut, including a short-lived rumor that he would appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. We don’t know where things stand with a possible Nicolas Cage in the next Avengers films, although he was reportedly being considered for Deadpool & Wolverine.

The “mantle” of Ghost Rider has been held by several characters, although Johnny Blaze remains the most iconic. Debuting in 1972, he is a stunt motorcyclist who, thanks to a pact with the devil, transforms into Ghost Rider when in the presence of evil.

As you probably know, his head then becomes a flaming skull and he wields a chain imbued with mystical powers, punishing bad guys and riding a flaming motorcycle. The character borrows heavily from the supernatural horror and superhero genres, with Danny Ketch and Robbie Reyes among those who would later inherit Johnny’s curse.
