The NBA star, Rudy Gobert, gives fans an overview of the “big day” that he shared with his 1 -year -old son Romeo.

After having confirmed her break with the girlfriend Julia Bonilla – the Minnesota Timberwolves Center, 32, shared a photo of himself by spending time with their son.

“Great Day”, wrote Gobert on the photo on his Instagram stories on Sunday, May 18, adding Emojis from prayer and the sun, while the Timberwolves are preparing to face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the next NBA Western Conference finals.

The French basketball star was shirtless in the blow, while Romeo went up on him during their sunny outing.

Gobert’s father-son day comes in the middle of his break in Bonilla, 25, who is currently pregnant with their second child. The former couple, who lived together until the Timberwolves started their playoffs in April, both published statements in the middle of the split.

In Bonilla’s declaration, as we can see in the screenshots shared on X, she apparently tackled the split, explaining that she “crossed one of the most painful moments of my life” and “felt isolated, far from my family and my friends”.

Bonilla said that she “considered Rudy the love of my life” and “left everything for him” so that their relationship works. “I gave him a child and I shed my heart into our relationship,” she wrote.

“When everyone criticized him and insulted him, I stood next to him, still putting him first and choosing him, still,” she said.

In an anonymous survey in 2024, the NBA players named it “the most surface”.

“Despite the way I have been treated, I choose to protect her name for the good of my children,” said Bonilla. “I have never been unfaithful to the father of my children.”

Gobert’s statement – which came after a TMZ report said he told Bonilla and Romeo to leave his home – said that there was “a lot of inaccurate information” spread over their split. “Julie and I are currently in the painful process of redefining our Coparent relationship,” he said.

“Being a father is one of the deepest and significant [experiences] I will live. This is one of my most important life objectives and will be forever. I am fully determined to continue to support the well-being of all the people who are close to my heart, “he added.

Gobert concluded: “I ask everyone to refrain from speculating and respecting our privacy in these difficult times.”
