Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli Availability for Australia Tour is centered on the agenda, says Grande India
The former Indian Maestro Sunil Gavaskar exclaimed that the availability of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for Australia Odis is motivated by the agenda that they are the same opposition against which India lost in the World Cup final in 2023.
India will visit Australia for an ODI series of three games on October 19, then it will be followed by a 5 -game T20I series, which is expected to start on October 29. This series marks the preparations for the next ICC 2027 World Cup in South Africa, while Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were appointed to the team by the BCCI chief selector, Ajit Agarkar.

He also added that if the series had been against the Antilles or the Mena like Zimbabwe, then the two would not have made themselves available, and the hiatus would have continued.
“I am pretty much certain that if it was a trip to Zimbabwe or the Antilles, the two would not have been available. But because it is in Australia, and because India lost against Australia in the World Cup final, that is perhaps the reason why the two decided, yes, I want to be available for that,” he told India Today.
