The legendary opening batsman further said that he and Virat Kohli talked a lot while in the middle and used their experience very well. He said:

I wanted to do things my way, on my own terms – Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma further spoke about his preparations for the Australia tour. He said he had plenty of time to prepare and used it to do things his way and plan the rest of his career. He clarified:

“Since I started acting, I’ve never had four to five months to prepare for a series. So I wanted to use that time. I wanted to do things my way, on my own terms. And that worked out pretty well for me. Understanding what I needed to do for the rest of my career. It was important to use that time because, like I said, I’ve never had that much time on my hands. So I wanted to use that time and I prepared pretty well for the house.

“Obviously the conditions at home and here are not ideal. It’s a huge difference between the two countries, but I’ve been here so many times. So it was just about getting into that rhythm and understanding what I need to do here. So yeah, I give a lot of credit to the way I prepared before coming here, giving myself a lot of time first.

“It was very important because sometimes you have to understand that there are so many things to do in life besides what you do professionally. But I had a lot of free time, so I took advantage of it.

“And like I said, I was able to do things on my own terms, on my own time, which really helped me a lot. Very, very grateful, first of all, to have people on your side. And I’m very grateful for that. Honestly, every time we played, people came out and supported us, not just the two of us, but the whole team. watch cricket. Because two good teams are playing, they want to watch quality cricket. And that’s what you get with these two teams. »
