Manchester City’s boss, Pep Guardiola, revealed that Rodri and Phil Foden will be back in the running to face Tottenham on Saturday.
The Cityzens are confronted with their Bogey Ultimate team at Etihad this weekend, and the head coach admits that they will need as much firepower as possible if they have won a victory against the Spurs.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Guardiola said: “Rodri and Phil [Foden] Weren’t available for the last game, they came out, but it was just because of a lack of training, they are ready for tomorrow.
“I just want coherence with Rodri. I have no doubt about its potential or capacity. However, so far, he is the best player in the world.
“Coherence will be delivered with training and games, training and games, week after week and after all, everything will be fine.”
New-Look Tottenham
Guardiola was asked about New Tottenham head coach, Frank, a manager he has always been very positive in the media.
On another new era in northern London, he added: “It is too early to know [how they have changed] But I have no doubt that Thomas will do an incredible job in a big, big club, just as he did in Brentford.
“He is a first class director and offers a different alternative to the way they can play. Going to a new club is always funny and a different challenge, but you have to wait.
“Spurs have been a difficult opponent for us, but it’s a new season for us and what has happened in the past is in the past and we can’t do anything.
