Rock County to activate outdoor warning sirens for severe thunderstorm warnings with destructive label | News

Janesville, Wisconsin – Rock county emergency management changes its criteria to activate its outdoor warning sirens.
The sirens will now sound when the National Weather Service will issue a serious informed thunderstorm which has a “destructive” label. This tag means that a storm can at least produce hail from the size of baseball and / or thunderstorm winds at 80 mph.
The change occurs almost a month after hail beaten the south of Wisconsin, in particular Evansville. If you hear a mermaid outside, head for shelter.
