There is a ghost of the Christmas future for Robert Eggers and Willem Dafoe. The pair envisages a meeting on a new adaptation of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens in Warner Bros.
Although no talent is currently attached to the project at this emerging stage, people familiar with development have noted the long -standing working relationship of Eggers and tenderness for Dafoe. Sources would not be surprised if the star of “Nosferatu” acquest in the package in the near future. The pair first worked together on the black comedy of the A24 “The Lighthouse” and Dafoe returned to support roles in the two subsequent characteristics of Eggers in Focus, “The Northman” and “Nosferatu”.
