Road to the left with a gaping hole, the property was flooded after the main rupture of water in the Fox chapel

A main rupture of water in the Fox chapel has led to significant damage to a road and left at least one owner with a massive cleaning operation. Action News 4 of Pittsburgh was on the scene along Powers Run Road, where a large hole and debris could be seen along the road. Paul Ostrosky, who lives along Powers Run Road, said that he had noticed a rush of water flowing in his alley while he was checking his pool. “I went out to put chemicals in my swimming pool and to check, connect the pump. I then go behind my garage to do it, and when I came back from behind the garage, as, ten seconds later, there is literally a river of water flowing in my aisle and behind my neighbor’s house,” said Ostrosky. Ostrosky said it seemed to have dropped from 50 to 60 feet in the air at one point, saying it looked like a geyser while the water went above the neighboring tree. He now says that thumbs have led to great accumulation inside two of his garages. “I don’t have, I don’t know, maybe four inches of sandy dirt in my entire entrance, (large) rocks under the asphalt that was driving with water, everywhere in my backyard,” said Ostrosky. “My two garages obtained about 12 inches of water.” He says that this is not the first time that a major break has occurred in the region. “There were two breaks, half a thousand in front of another neighbor’s house. He was flooded twice,” said Ostrosky. “I would say it’s going to be a regular thing.” Pittsburgh Action News 4 strives to learn more information about what has led to the break.
