Richard Dreyfuss withdrew from a fan event due to a serious case of bronchitis.
Friday, the star of “Jaws”, 77, went to social networks to share a message with his fans before Sharkcon in Tampa, Florida and express his disappointment concerning the diagnosis.
“Hello unconditional companions,” said Dreyfuss in a video published on the Sharkcon Instagram account. “I am very, very sorry to tell you that I was diagnosed, viral, uh … What is it?”
“Bronchitis”, Dreyfuss’s wife, Svetlana Erokhin, replied out of camera.

“My doctors told me that I cannot fly and that I should fly for five hours to get there. I’m terribly sorry because I had planned to be there, and I was looking forward to being there, but I am unable to do it. I don’t want anyone else to be sick, and I don’t want to fall myself.”

“I feel terrible not to introduce myself, and I feel worse to expose you to this apparently very viral disease,” continued Dreyfuss. “But there will be other times and I will do my business to present themselves.”

Dreyfuss joked by saying that he hoped that all his fans “feel really sorry for me, and very sorry for you”.
“I suffer a lot and it must come first, my health,” he said. “I feel very good to have time and enough health.”
“And so big fans!” His wife added.

“We love you, we all miss you, and we will see you soon,” said Erokhin.
In the legend, Sharkcon wrote: “All prepaid autographs and photo sessions will be automatically reimbursed. There is no reason to contact. It will take 5 to 10 working days more what your bank takes so that they are treated. We are really sorry for any disadvantage. Thank you.”
