RFK Jr. checked the facts for having thrown “dangerous lies” on vaccines on Fox News: “I have receipts”
Secretary of Health and Social Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made a series of inaccurate claims on vaccines during an appearance of Fox News on Thursday.
Kennedy said that “97% of people on the [CDC vaccine advisory] The Committee had conflicts of interest, “that children receive” between 69 and 92 “compulsory vaccines, and that” none of them has been tested in terms of security “- apart from the COVVI-19 vaccine. It also said that vaccines are designed to” deregulate “the immune system, linking them to a” chronic illness epidemic “.
Dr. Jake Scott, a doctor specializing in infectious diseases and an associate professor at the Stanford Medical School, published a detailed refutation on social networks, accusing Kennedy of spreading “flagrant and dangerous lies” and support for criticisms with data from studies and CDC recordings evaluated by peers.
“Fox News might not check it, but I will,” wrote Scott. “I examined the tests. I cataloged them. I have received.”
Scott is lying by complaint.
Kennedy said 97% of the members of the CDC vaccine committee had conflicts of interest, but did not quote where he obtained this figure. Scott refuted the complaint, sharing the conclusions of a Reuter survey which revealed that if 41% of the members received a form of payment from the industry, it was mainly in small sums for travel or meals. In addition, the CDC has strict guidelines in place requiring challenges for any conflict.
Even Fox anchor said Kennedy’s assertion that children now receive between 69 and 92 compulsory vaccines seemed quite high. It was also challenged by Scott, who noted that the vaccine mandates are fixed by the states, and most of the states force just over 30 vaccinations.
With regard to Kennedy’s assertion that no vaccine other than the cocovid vaccine has undergone placebo -controlled trials, Scott said: “One of the most deceptive claims that I have ever seen a government official on national television.” He then linked a database containing 164 placebo -controlled vaccine trials and specified at least one example for each routine childhood vaccine.
Kennedy said: “Nobody has any idea of risk profiles on these products”, which Scott has countered, noting that 90% of vaccination studies include reports on security results and listing four post-reception safety methods. He cited three cases where security problems with the vaccines were discovered and acted.
Finally, Scott rejected Kennedy’s assertion that “vaccines deregulate the immune system”.
“It’s not science; it is a scary word word,” wrote Scott. “Vaccines do not” deregulate “nothing. They educate the immune system by an exposure targeted to the antigen so that it can defend itself against real pathogens later.”
Scott stressed that although no medical intervention is without risk, evidence massively supports the benefits of safety and public health of childhood routine vaccinations.
“As the father of two children, I am extremely grateful,” he added, citing dramatic declines in the deaths and illnesses of children since the introduction of vaccines like Hib, hepatitis B and rotavirus.
Kennedy’s comments have aroused the condemnation of health and legislators, with many warnings that the disinformation of this nature could further erode confidence in wild vaccines.
