The success of the anime Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc coming soon to digital streaming.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc released in theaters on October 24, about six weeks after its studio, Sony Pictures Entertainment/Crunchyroll’s other big anime hit this year — Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s Infinite Castle — open in September. Both Chainsaw man And Demon Slayer finished #1 at the box office in their respective opening weekends.
The official summary of Chainsaw man – The film: Rezé Arc It reads: “Based on the wildly popular animated series, Chainsaw Man continues in an all-new, epic, action-packed adventure. In the midst of a brutal war between devils and hunters, another battle begins in Denji’s heart when he meets a mysterious girl named Reze. Facing secret enemies and fighting for his humanity, Denji prepares for his deadliest battle yet.”
SPE/Crunchyroll announced on Friday that Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will be released digitally via premium video on demand on Tuesday, December 9. Viewers will be able to watch either the film with subtitles or a version dubbed in English.
The list of digital retailers that will carry the film was not listed in the announcement, although new PVOD releases are typically listed on platforms such as Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Prime Video and YouTube Movies & TV.
No pricing for the digital film was given either, but new titles on PVOD typically cost between $19.99 and $24.99 to purchase or $14.99 to $24.99 to rent for 48 hours.
