Rexurection offers a clear metaphorical lens for the anonymous toxican of a scholarship (spoilers)

This article contains spoilers for Dexter: Resurrection episodes 1-4.
Michael C. Hall has expertly portrayed a serial killer who promulgates revenge under a code that forces him to target people sharing the same ideas over the years of the series Dexter, Dexter: New Blood, And Dexter: Original sin. With the last entry of the franchise, dependence disease is more than ever personified by offering to dexter something he has not yet found before his trip to New York – a scholarship of victims with similar views.
The series has a multitude of faces back alongside starred additions to the longtime distribution. The return veterans are David Zayas (Angel Batista), Erik King (James Doakes), John Lithgow (Arthur “Trinity Killer” Mitchell), Jimmy Smites (Miguel Prado), James NEME (Harry Morgan), Desmond Harrington (Joseph Quinn), CS Lee (Vince Masuka) (Harrison Morgan) All Tileal) and Jack Alcott (Harrison Morgan) All The Tileal) and Jack Alcott (Harrison Morgan) All The Tileal) and Jack Alcott (Harrison Morgan) All The Tileal) and Jack Alcott (Harrison Morgan) All The Tileal) and Jack Alcott (Harrison Morgan) All The Tileul Michael C. Hall.
Or Dexter: Resurrection Separates from its predecessors in the franchise by offering Dexter a scholarship of victims with similar views with dependence on death in groups which reflects those which have been seen in meetings for anonymous alcoholics, anonymous drugs, and celebrate recovery. The declaration of doctors of the alcohol alcoholics of the manual suggests that the closest thing that doctors have discovered for a cure for dependence disease is the community and a scholarship with similar views of suffering similar. This is how Dexter: Resurrection Inadvertently offer to dexter a potential path to the recovery that he has never seen before.
In episode four, Call me red, Dexter is an invitation to a dinner for people like him and takes advantage of being able to treat what he goes through with others who understand his constraint for murder. The group of killers includes the Canton Clubber, which eliminates its victims played by Max von Essen. There is Lady Vengeance, who targets sexual predators, brought back by Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones, Breaking Bad), Rapunzel, who keeps an strands of hair from the ladies he murdered, personified by Eric Stoneetreet (Modern family), The tattoos collector, who swims the trophies of his victims, acted by Neil Patrick Harris (Horrible Dr. Sing-Along blog), The Gemini killer, who keeps him in the family by offering his victims to die alongside, represented by David Dastmalchian (Ant-Man, The Suicide Squad), The black passenger, played by Marc Mechaca, and Charley, a mysterious killer played by the inimitable Uma Thurman (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill).
There is also the great man, who has not yet been revealed as a killer, but who can be the mysterious ripper of New York, who brings these killers together because of his fascination for those at the top of the list in their murderous craftsmanship, played by Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones, Avengers: Infinity War). It is a rich philanthropist and the facilitator and benefactor of meetings.
This group of individuals imitates AA and NA meetings by offering these drug addicts a place to evacuate their frustrations and burn desires to those who include their problems under the cover of anonymity. In the past, Dexter could only be in the last moments of the life of his victims, being able to speak freely in front of his targets when they posed on his table, and any other relationship that he tried to cultivate ended horribly. We give him a phone to exchange numbers with his purse, which is one of the key components to prevent relapses.
In a recovery parameter, the members in turn share sharing and listening, and the same goes for a display of “Show and Tell”. Each of the other killers present provides to dexter someone to refer to, and he begins to speak honestly, and from the heart, after being let in the process of his Toxicoma colleague.
“I knew it was my next piece when I put them. What is happening then is inevitable. Because I can’t stop it. I feel that the pressure increases, it becomes so intense. It is dizzying, unstoppable.” -The tattoo collector
“I know the feeling,” says Dexter internally.
“I call it itching them.” – Lady revenge
“The need.” – Rapunzel
“The Great DESING” – The Gemini Killer
“Envy”, shares Dexter, which can finally admit it openly to people who understand it.
At the end of the meeting, Dexter exchange stories of origin with another member. “I am not immune to mom’s problems, mine comes from the way I lost it.” He then meets the facilitator and admits that the scholarship is useful to him. “Thank you for everything, I said things tonight that I could never express aloud before. I didn’t know it was something I needed.” Dexter admits. “This is what these gatherings serve. So people like you know that you are not alone. There is a lot of being able to share your story, wait for your show and say. We just want to know the real dark passenger.”
It is not a coincidence that the members of this group prove to be drinking alcohol during the meeting, hitting the nail even stronger on the metaphorical head. The objective is clear that it is an attempt to humanize Dexter and allow the public to see what could have seemed less than clear in series previously, than Dexter suffers from the debilitating disease of dependence. After he went to another group of people following this necessary point of sale, Dexter confirms: “They are good people, but it is not my people”, showing how this communion of people sharing the same ideas means for him.
It has not yet been revealed if this chance of rehabilitation will really change dexter for the best, but after a single meeting, Dexter has already chosen to take alternative measures to protect other potential victims of his colleagues when he could easily give in to the desire to kill the killers himself. Of course, all the big things in Dexter’s life are short -lived, and it would not be Dexter If we have not followed the character in a trip to kill others like him, but for the first time, Dexter feels less than alone and has a chance to choose how to manage his desires.
Dexter: Resurrection, a continuation of Dexter®: New Blood, takes place weeks after Dexter Morgan (Hall) took a bullet in the chest of his own son, while he wakes up a coma to find Harrison (Jack Alcott) left without trace. Giving the weight of what he put through his son, Dexter leaves for New York, determined to find him and do things correctly. But the closure will not be easy. When the angel of Miami Metro Batista (David Zayas) arrives with questions, Dexter realizes that his past catches up with him quickly. While the father and the son sail on their own darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they imagined – and that the only way out is together.
