Revue: “One Battle after the other” by Pta Tale Vive des revolutionaries

The new Paul Thomas Anderson landed in theaters at the right time in American history. To say that it is a “opportune” film is not really correct – this story has been built in the mind of PTA for years. He finally succeeded in the script, and made Warner Bros in a way to give it more than $ 100 million to get there, and they released and fired last year, and now we are entitled to an amazing film. To say that it is too early to judge if it is an “American classic” is not really correct either – this film is undoubtedly an instant classic will Be loved by moviegoers around the world. And over time, he will gain his place in the history of cinema, even if most of us who write on films professionally can already see writing on the wall. One battle after another Totally rocks. This film gives so many ass. But using such a banal and banal sentence to describe it is a bad service – this modern sprawling, virgin, energetic and visceral film deserves a much more careful analysis and a deeper intellectual appreciation. Not only entertaining, it is THE Film of the moment in that it perfectly represents the zeitgeist. It may be a funny satire, but it is also damn realistic if you really break it.
Written and directed by Master Filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson Like his 10th feature film, One battle after another is officially inspired by the novel “Vineland” by Thomas Pynchon. Clearly not an adaptation, PTA gives Pynchon anyway in the film, because the ideas of the book provide a base for the ideas of the film. In one of his best modern roles, Leonardo DiCAPRI Play like Bob Ferguson – a member of the revolutionary group “French 75” who falls in love with Perfedia Beverly Hills, played by Teyana TaylorAnother member. The film is the history of American activists / revolutionaries over time, a story of a family and how the fight against oppression and American racism is transmitted to the next generation. Although it is also a comedy, a satire on dad Stoner Bob is aging. Most of the film takes place when Bob Willa’s daughter, also known as “Charlene Calhoun” (her coverage name), is a disinterested teenager of all that her parents have done. Infiniti Chase Play this role with a real spice “Let me present me” which is instantly endearing and badass at the same time. It represents generation Z and their vibrations / feelings / choice. But she also needs to learn how the world Really Works and is quickly presented to this truth when Bob’s past catches him.
Bob’s past is represented in the form of a colonel Steven J. Lockjaw, in nams of the French 75, a military fascist asshole who is forever looking for Bob and his fellow men. Sean Penn Takes this fascinating role as a lockjaw and nails this performance so deeply perfectly, understanding and describing the reality of this kind of person so precisely that his character from bad guy on the screen is as enigmatic and as emblematic as the greatest cinema villains of all time. He is up there with Anton Chigurh and Hans Gruber and all the others. And what is funny is that path Too many people will watch this film and get angry that he is described as the villain. Damage! LOCKJAW is the quintessence of all the BRISED, HAINTUS, VIONTE and MALEFIQUE – USE -HALEFUL – Until the authentic representation of a guy who must repress her own love for the black woman just so that he can get a corner office in the regional branch of the white supremacist group. PTA wants to rush a few feathers, shake the cages and tell a story that evokes the truth about America, with all its smallest granular details. Everything it shows is correct, even if it is shown through the objective of $ 100 million + satire: the police all Americans exist inside, racism, white supremacy, xenophobia, oppression; which remains despite years of activism and resistance.
Like almost everyone, I really loved PTA One battle after another. Easily one of the best films of 2025, easily deserving of all the prizes he will obtain during the season from the awards, easily deserving all the love he receives from moviegoers everywhere. PTA used this Warner Bros to also modify the film through test projections and ensure that history – above all – flat and slide. It will resist the test of time, it will improve again on each rehearsal vision. It is not only the history of these revolutionaries in which I like to be drawn, it is also virgin cinema, the rivet rhythm, the magnificent performances outside the charts in Gogo: Stoner Dad DiCaprio, Saint-Benicio del Toro, an unforgettable chase hall; And everything that happens in this area. With yet another partition evocative entirely Jonny GreenwoodUsing her sound for an effective emotional layer in addition to everything we see on the screen. Of course, everyone knows that the PTA is one of the best filmmakers on the market, their technical knowledge is irrefutable. But it is a question of how this knowledge meets to work at the service of history and this time, it is cinematographic synergy to its best. And man oh guy Do I live with Stoner Bob in this area.
My most intriguing theory on this film is that it is roughly a PTA autobiography. Took us through his life when he was a more rebellious young person who released his first films (Eight hard, Boogie nights, Magnolia, Punch-Durk love) Until his current time of Papa Stoner trying to transmit his rebellious spirit to his child (he has 4 children with actress Maya Rudolph). While One battle after another is an extremely inspiring and fun representation of American revolutionaries, it is also the sincere story of a father and a girl. These activists are also only ordinary people – trying to live their own lives and raise a family and take care of each other. And Bob’s lesson in Willa is that she must recognize that her family is a line of combatants and that she will join the fight too – whether or not he loves him. There is always more work to do. One battle after another, they must continue to fight evil assholes like Lockjaw and Christmas Adventurers Club. They are relentless enemies. But there is also hope in the idea that PTA transmits its revolutionary spirit, reminding us that even when you get older and start to forget things, there is hope in the next generation to take off and go into the world to make a real difference and resume where you stopped. And This is a real hope.
