An injury in the rural crash on cedar cedars

Cedar Rapids, Iowa (KCRG) – One person had to be taken to the hospital following an accident from Cedar Rapids Rural Tuesday evening.
The Linn County Sheriff’s office indicated at 5.23 p.m., the deputies were called to a report of an accident at highway 13 and Mount Vernon Road.
At the scene of the accident, the first speakers found a Ford Edge and a GMC land, each with significant front damage, blocking the road.
After interviews, the deputies determined that the driver of the Ford had not yielded while he was heading north on Highway 13 of the Mont Vernon road in the eastern direction. The Ford collided with the GMC while it was traveling west on Mount Vernon Road.
The GMC driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the Ford, a 64 -year -old woman from Anamosa, was not injured. It was cited for not having given way.
