In addition to plastic bags, “several cable links were located on the ground in the immediate bodies area,” said officials.
The authorities collected plastic bags and cable ties and submitted the articles to the Washington State Crime Lab for DNA analysis, officials said.
On August 6, Crime Lab reported that the “DNA profiles matching Travis Decker had been found on plastic bags” and cable ties, confirming to those responsible that he is the only suspect.
“The completion of this DNA analysis provides additional evidence that indicates that Travis Decker is the only suspect involved in the commercies of these homicides,” said officials.
DNA corresponding to the three girls was also located on the plastic bags, officials said. On June 9, an autopsy determined that the cause of the death of the girls was sufficient, according to the Sheriff’s office.

In July, officials also said that the bloody handshakes located on the tailgate of the Decker vehicle – which was discovered near the girls – also corresponded to the father’s DNA profile.

The sheriff’s office confirmed on Monday that the place where Decker was unknown and that they “have no evidence suggesting that Travis Decker is alive or deceased”.
The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office said that it continued to work with local, state and federal partners to apply the law to “coordinate continuous research efforts”.
In July, the Sheriff of the County of Chelan, Mike Morrison, told ABC News that the managers remain “hopes” that they will find decker, but know that this hunt could be a “long term”.
“We could fight for five years, 10 years, 20 years. I hope we are looking at a few weeks and it ends, but it could be long and we are committed to staying with it,” Morrison told ABC News.
