Report finds healthcare navigation at crossroads

The third annual edition of Benefits Confidence Index 2025a survey of 120 benefits consultants to self-insured employers, reveals that nearly 30% of consultants recommend health care navigation, concierge or advocacy services to control health care costs. But the report’s findings also reveal that providers want reporting that provides clear, actionable ROI information.
THE Benefits Confidence Index 2025sponsored by Quantum Health and produced by MedCity News, shows that healthcare navigation is considered a valuable tool for self-insured employers to improve their employee benefits and manage costs.
The index also highlighted the growing influence of AI. Seventy-two percent of consultants said they advise clients on the impact of AI on employee benefits programs. 31% now say they advise frequently or most of the time on AI, compared to 20% in 2024.
The report also highlights emerging trends from these benefits consultants’ perspectives on GLP-1 drug coverage, including the types of conditions placed on coverage.
