Removed Fantastic Four Scene teasing how much the powers of Sue Storm are really dangerous

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” by Marvel arrives at the digital video on demand, allowing fans to relive not only the return of the first Marvel family on the big screen, but to watch bonus equipment on the production of the film and even five deleted scenes that have widened the story but have not reached the final cup.

Now that we are approaching the digital release of the film, some of these deleted scenes are done online, and one of them paints the powers of Sue Storm in a new light. The clip is graceful of USA Today (they will not let us integrate it, so you will have to click there to watch it and return), and this shows Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) by visiting subterrania relatively early in the film (after the announcement of Sue’s pregnancy, but before the arrival of the Herald of Galactus) to talk to Paul Walter Hauser Mole.

The two have a little exchange tense on the terms of the peace agreement between subterrania and the surface world, which was explored in the editing at the start of the film. Mole Man boasts of her ability to conquer the surface if he wanted it, and Sue says that she could simply use her powers to create a strength field in the brain of Mole Man and give him an aneurysm while Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn) burns all the subterrania citizens to death. Then the two settle down and have a surprisingly tender moment when they have a drink together and reach an agreement.

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” does a lot of things correctly, but one of the biggest attention is the quantity of attention and the care that the film pays to the character of Sue Storm, who is undoubtedly the protagonist of history. She is the team’s heart and soul, but also their world ambassador and a very powerful hero as a whole. However, this deleted scene shows that Sue Storm could also be a great villain if it wanted – as the comics have shown.

Do not play with the invisible woman

This is the scene that Paul Walter Houser was crazy to be deleted from the film, and for the reason. Mole Man is one of the most funny characters in the film and he is hardly in it, so seeing more of him is already excellent news. But this is what this scene says about Mole Man and Sue Storm who makes him disappointing that the scene was cut.

The scene shows what makes “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” different from the other superhero films and painted an image of a world where the fantastic four have worked for a long time, hard and effectively to improve the world – so much so that even old adversaries have now become friends. Mole Man and Sue’s Dynamic alludes to a long story of fights and diplomacy, and to see them bicker and share a drink as old friends says a lot about the world in which these characters live.

But seeing it is so nonchaident that she could kill Mole Man in an instant feels rather unusual for Sue … at least in relation to the way she is in the rest of the film. Of course, it is clear that she is an incredibly powerful character, teasing her role by beating Galactus at the end of the story, but the relaxed threat of the genocide seems somewhat shocking. It does not help that the scene then seems to play her threats because she simply continued her rustling because of her pregnancy.

Be that as it may, the Marvel cinematographic universe makes attempts to clearly indicate for film observers what comics readers have known for decades: do not play with Sue Storm!
