Rebecca Romijn shares an update on her return as mysticism in the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday.

Romijn kept her sealed lips when asked if she had read the whole script, noting: “I cannot confirm or deny having read the whole script.” She also admitted that she “could not say” which she filmed scenes, but it was a “surreal” experience with some of her originals X-Men Co-stars with a new mixed cast.
“It was very surreal to be with my old casting as well as a new casting. I had crazy dreams while I was there for a large part of shooting. Like, really a kind of regressive dreams, ”she shared. “It was very strange, my brain really tried to organize. Like, Wow is a character that I played 25 years ago, 20 years ago. Yeah, [it was] Very surreal. “”
The actress also shared what it was like revisiting the role of mystique after almost 20 years since she described the character for the last time in 2006 X-Men: the last stand. (Romijn made a letter letter in 2011 X-Men: First class.)
“Oh, I know her very GOOD. I returned with full ownership of her. It was very pleasant to go back and play this character, because I had impostor syndrome at the very beginning, “she said.” I thought, maybe at the very beginning, I had just thrown because I was the model that was available to play mystical at that time.
