The score seemed intimidating and the proteas were haunted when they discovered that the skipper, Temba Bavuma, was broken with an injury.

Halfway through the first rounds, Bavuma left the field and it was found that he had undergone a left veal strain. This is his second injury in match in recent months because he had also injured his hamstrings in the final of the CPI World Championship in June against Australia.

South Africa is said to be concerned about their captain subject to injuries when they should start their new cycle in the ICC world testing championship in five weeks.

In particular, Temba Bavuma has undergone numerous injuries throughout his career and only presented in two of the three games in the recent ODI series against Australia to manage its workload. He would seek to improve his physical form if he wanted to do well in the ICC 2027 World Cup at home.

He was not polite from South Africa – Shaun Pollock

South African quisors were taken to cleaners by English strikers in the first sleeves, and the players also looked sloppy on the ground.

The counter goalkeeper Jamie Smith criticized 62 points to take England for a flying start, and Jos Buttler finished the sleeves at the top with his explosive sleeves of 62 points.

In the middle of the Overs, the young versatile Jacob Bethell broke 110 points, and Joe Root criticized his 19th Odi Hunged. Speaking on Sky Sports during the mid-Inning break, Shaun Pollock said that the proteas did not look polite. He said:

“It did not seem that the intensity was not there. Two taken dropped and there were 19 large – he was not polite from South Africa.

“Yes, they did not have Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi and Kagiso Marco Jansen with the ball but you expect the standards to be better.”

We played the right cricket – Temba bavuma

Speaking earlier during the draw, the captain of South Africa Temba Bavuma said they were playing the right cricket and that the group worked well together. He said:

“We are going to play the game first, early in the morning and it could be a little in the field. Two changes for us – Wiaan Mulder is back after his illness. We played the right cricket, we had a good feeling of working together”

Meanwhile, Harry Brook said they just wanted to be aggressive with the bats and the ball. He said:

“We would also have played first. Just the rotation while Saqib is missing, just be aggressive with the bat and the ball. It looks like a good counter, would have imagined our chances of hunting.”
